Rumor: First Quad-Core phone is the HTC Edge

PocketNow is reporting to have info on the first of the quad-core phones, this one to be the HTC Edge. While they give no mentions of how they received this information or if they just photoshoped a picture together they did claim some nice specs, and others that don’t make any sense. First to what they are claiming it to be is a 4.7″ 720p screen. 4 1.5ghz cores from Nvidia, while leaving off what the 5th core is since they’ve already stated their quad-cores actually have a 5th. An eight-megapixel camera with 28-millimeter, f/2.2 lens back camera, but no specs yet on the front yet. Internal storage would be 32gb which leaves us to believe no Micro SD-Card to be used. Along with Beats Audio which seems to be something HTC will include in all their high end phones after their investment in them.

The Edge could also have the recently leaked HTC media package which includes HTC Listen, HTC Read, HTC Play and finally HTC Watch. However with a release of 2012 Q1/Q2 coming out without Ice Cream Sandwich is a waste and makes no sense. No word yet either is if HTC finally gained some sense to leave Sense off a phone again.
