As a way to fight off the I have no cash, Salvation Army to spot Square to take donations

This years holiday shopping just got more irritating for some, and interesting for others. Salvation Army, everyone knows them as those who stand out in front of stores begging and irritating you for donations have a new way to fight off that

Oh sorry I can’t donate I don’t have any cash on me now

As they will now be carrying Square to be able to process credit card donations the Verge is reporting. No word yet on what they’ll be using and if you can even tell those who choice to donate have those funds going to the Salvation Army or just some random person standing on the street is scamming you for money. Our guess is that they will be using Apple iPads as to take the donations as Square has built its most robust UI for that.

This isn’t the first time that a non-profit organization has used Square before, The Girl Scouts of America has to a tune of 400 boxes in less than one hour in Silicon Valley. Now word on Squares FAQ about Non-Profits does it mention any discount when it comes to the charge in which they recoup, however we are guessing that with certain groups, they are willing to eat the cost.
