Fast Follow The Game Zynga Likes To Play?

The buzz of Zynga and their business model of social gaming online has undoubtedly had a major impact on bringing a fun new way to socially interact with our friends online. There are several other social game companies out there that have help build social gaming into what it is today. Mark Pincus, chief executive of social gaming company Zynga has recently been interviewed by Venture Beats and has turned up some interesting insight on how the follow fast game works in the social gaming industry. I’m sure you’ve noticed that there are several games made by different companies that look almost the same and some could argue that they are the same and that one of the companies copied another company’s games. While this would seem true to many, there is more to the story as Mark Pincus explains in an interview Venture Beats today. Some companies Playdom, NimbleBit and Buffalo Studios have all come forward claiming that Zynga has played the follow fast game with their games and the it doesn’t seem that the follow fast game is going to lose steam anytime soon. Microsoft Introducing Serial Key Locked Console Games With Xbox 720?

If you haven’t heard the internet chatter, Microsoft is working on the next generation of Xbox, believed to be called the Xbox 720. I think they should just take the plunge and go 1080 but heck that’s just me.

New reports are coming out of multiple sources suggesting that when Microsoft introduces this new gaming console it’s not only going to have a ton of bells and whistles but it’s also going to introduce serial key locked console games.  This news is coming out of gaming site Kotaku.

With mounting pressure coming over piracy concerns and the game studios losing profit share to recycled game giants like GameStop, Microsoft is said to be testing games that are serial locked like software.  According to TMCnet this serial locking could work like Microsoft software does where you must have an activation license to make the game operate on your console.

Hold off on buying dog food, Zynga pushes back IPO

Business Insider is reporting that Zynga which has had its profits level off, as well as its user base dropped finally returned to profitability last quarter will not go public till after the holiday weekend. With their revenue boasting a an 80% rise year over year to a remarkable $307 million. 227 million users in June they are the largest Social gaming company followed by EA in second. Reports where originally of a possible 2012 launch but seeing how the markets have calmed down from what they where before and Groupon not tanking when going public has giving the higher ups at Zynga some optimism.
