Get Your Office Like Google’s

6015882512_22bca92672_z

If you haven’t heard about what Google’s offices are like, it is like the magical wonderland of the office world. It is kitted out with absolutely everything that you could wish for with an office. It is part of the reason why working for Google is such a sort after job, they just look after their employees in so many different ways. But can you get your office like the one at Google? Probably not. Their offices are huge, and they have thousands of staff all over the world, and they’re a billion dollar company. But you can take some of the principles and use them in your own office to make it so much more fun and relaxed. Here is how.

The Furniture

Google always has pretty alternative furniture. For one, it is always colourful and comfy, as is the whole room. If you want to get that Google vibe, you need to try and get the room as bright and as colorful as possible to begin with. Use a range of different colours like light blues, greens, and reds. It’ll help to perk the room up a bit rather than just staring at the same four white walls. You also need to try and create as much space as possible so you haven’t got that cramped feeling going on. You can also purchased used office furniture to help save a bit of money. If you’re buying furniture for a large office of people we know how expensive it is going to be. But just  make sure it’s as comfy and quirky as possible. One of the main reasons why employees find it so hard to work is because they’re spending most of the day wriggling around trying to get comfy. Make sure they either have built in pillows, or you’re giving them pillows to sit on as well.

Mood Boards & Nap Pods

Mood boards is something a lot of companies should start using. Not only mood boards, but idea boards. It allows your employees to convey their thoughts and feelings about the day. This is something not a lot of companies actually do nowadays. It could open your eyes to things that might need changing about the company that you may not have thought about before. Plus, your employees thoughts and feelings should always be the most important thing on your mind. Nap pods are something Google do to try and keep their employees fresh. Many moons ago before you were a business owner, you know for a fact you would get to that part of the day where you could so easily drop off. Your eyes might have been closing and your head rolling out of your hands, quickly snapping you back into action until two minute later where it would happen again. Google have realised that during this time the amount of work done drops to almost nothing, so giving them a quick refresh allows them to come back into work ready to actually work. Whilst we know a lot of you will be against letting your employees nap, you could at least give them an area to chill out and relax to refresh their minds.

First Impressions: Wow Your Clients With Your Office Space

white-2591357_1280

When it comes to making first impressions on your clients, your office space says it all. A cluttered office says that a business is unorganized and that may put clients off. A dank and dreary space could affect your client’s mood and may lead to them taking their business to your competitors, who have a light and airy office. If you’re not thinking about how your office represents you when clients come to visit, you may be unintentionally giving off the wrong vibes. So, how can your office make the best impression?

Office Furniture

The furniture you use is important for both your clients and your employees. Using light colored furniture will give the illusion that smaller spaces are larger than they are. Adding pops of color to the room with cushions, bean bags and accessories will make the space seem inviting. Of course, the furniture also has to be functional and comfortable. Your employees need furniture that will help them to be productive. Look for fun and bright ergonomic chairs for employees to sit on and a meeting table that stands out from the crowd to impress clients.

Remodeling

There comes a day when every office needs to be remodeled to suit growing expectations. If you’re hiring civil engineering companies, make sure they use materials that won’t block the signal you’re receiving in the office space. The last thing you want to return to is slow internet speed and frustrated clients. If you invest in data hardware throughout the office, you can be sure that clients visiting the office space won’t have to put up with slow signals. It’s also vital for when you’re making presentations. The quicker you can get through them, the happier your clients will be.

Show Off Your Brand

They say that the one thing that makes a business look trustworthy is a great brand. As soon as your client walks through the office doors, it has to be obvious where they are. After all, the client may have spent all week visiting your competitors, so your office space needs to say who you are and what you’re about immediately. One of the best ways for your brand to stick with a client is to plaster it over the little things in the office. Let your client walk away with a pen that has your logo on it, use mugs with the logo on it to serve coffee and any paperwork the client takes away should have a clear and concise header.

Use Digital Storage

No client wants to walk into an office that seems to be in utter chaos. If your employees are running around trying to find hard copies of files that could easily be stored online, it’s probably time for a change. Not having hard copies around makes an office space look much tidier, far less cluttered and it’s more impressive if someone can find what a client needs with the click of a button, rather than a rummage through the filing cabinets.

Make your client feel at home and you’re on track for a great relationship.

Startup Ideas: Mobile Coffee Business

2306792602_6fc54a6b1a_z

If you’re thinking of starting a business in 2016, congratulations! It’s finally time to break out of the dull routine, and work for yourself. Become your own boss, and start doing something you love. We quite often get asked for ideas and inspiration for new startups. So, we thought we’d take a look at some ideas in more detail. Today, we’re looking at the ins and outs of starting a mobile coffee business. You may already be familiar with the concept. You’d take a mobile van to most of the major offices and workplaces in the city. After all, everyone loves the a mid-morning coffee break!

Startup costs – If you love the smell of coffee, and that warming feeling, it’s a great startup idea. Plus, this is an easier option than opening up a coffee store. Best of all, it’s cheaper too. Most startups are looking to keep costs low, so this is perfect. You will, of course, need the van to get started. Plus, there are costs for installing coffee making facilities in the back. If this seems to expensive, you can always buy into an existing franchise, and they’ll provide you with the vehicle.

Licensing – A coffee van business often requires a license from the council or local authority. There’s a simple reason for this. You are technically involved in street trading, which requires permission from the authorities. Seek advice from your local council, and find out the rules for any boroughs you wish to work in. This should all be straightforward, and relatively cheap to organise too.

Finding customers – There is no shortage of people looking for coffee, that’s for sure! Everyone loves their regular cup of joe in the morning. However, everyone also has their existing loyalties and favourites. We all have our daily habits and routines. It’s up to you to convince people to break them, and start making you their daily routine! How exactly will you do this? You either need to be more convenient, cheaper or better quality than their regular option. Try offering a discount during your first few months.

Upkeep and maintenance – You’re relying on your van for your business. If there are any small problems, it could put you out of action for days or even weeks. That means a big loss of money. Both your van and the coffee making equipment is vulnerable, so make sure you check it regularly. Stock up on spare parts from La Marzocco, and take the van for regular servicing at the auto shop.

Coffee making skill – All other points aside, the core of your business is the quality of coffee. People will pay good money for a creamy, velvet cappuccino. They’ll pay good money for a rich, flavoursome coffee bean. The bar is set very high when it comes to premium coffee! Consider taking barista training, and hone your skills until they are perfect.

We all love our morning cup of joe, and it’s even better if it comes straight to us! A coffee shop on wheels is a lucrative new venture, but have you got what it takes? Let us know what you think!

Top Ways You Can Promote Your Restaurant Startup

1024px-The_restaurant_Inside_Marriott_(5531365092)

If you’re looking for a great startup idea, then might I suggest opening a restaurant? Restaurants are highly profitable if you can get customers through your doors. Which is why I’ve come up with three tips to help you promote your restaurant startup:

Create A Website

Every business needs a website, and it’s vital for a restaurant. Seriously, if you only pay attention to one thing on this list, it has to be this! You must create a website for your restaurant. Get it done professionally so it looks nice and proper. Why is a website important? Because it’s a way for people to view your restaurant online. They can look at the menus, see pictures of the food. It can entice them to come down and eat there. Plus, you can have an online booking system so they can book a table right there and then!

As I briefly mentioned, you need your site to look professional. No one will go to a restaurant that doesn’t have a well-designed site. Either find a web designer to do it for you, or use a professional website creation tool.

Focus On The Interior

A big selling point of any restaurant is the interior. People want to be sat in a nice place when they go out for a meal. No one wants to pay to eat in a restaurant with an ugly interior that looks half complete. Get your restaurant looking amazing on the inside, and you’ll have a line of people waiting on the outside. Have a look on debretton.com.au if you want to see some classy restaurant interior designs.

Now, you may be thinking that the interior will only have an effect on people inside your restaurant. But, it can be the thing that drags people in. Good interior design will grab people’s attention when they walk past your restaurant. It will catch their eye, and they’ll think oh that place looks nice, I should check it out sometime. Secondly, you could take pictures of the interior and post them on your website/social media pages. This will get more and more people into your restaurant as they’ll like what they see.

Use Social Media

Yep, you guessed it, you have to use social media to promote your restaurant business. It’s such a great way of marketing your startup and getting new customers. Social media is an easy way to engage with your target market. For a restaurant, this will usually be people that live relatively close by. You can chat with them and make sure they all know about your restaurant.

My top tip is to make good use of Instagram. Create an account so you can post pictures of food and drinks. People always get tempted when they see a good food picture. Something as simple as an Instagram post can be all it takes to get a new customer.

And there you have it, there are three ways you can promote your restaurant startup. Hopefully, this has been helpful, and you’re now feeling more confident about your new business venture! If you’re interested in other startup ideas, then have a look at the post here.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication

Leonardo da Vinci

This is some Description about this Quote

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
