Meshin Recall: A Valuable Tool For Startups, Business And Everyone Else

Meshin’s founders Chris Holmes and Kristen Galliani, are doing vast amounts of research on semantics and the way people use the tools that they use everyday and making them more productive. Categorizing notes may seem like a menial task but so far it’s been the most effective. Everyone can tag notes in Evernote but the tagging system in Evernote is about as effective as hashtagging on Twitter. What do I mean by this? Well with Evernote you can tag a not any way you’d like, but once you have the freedom to so broadly tag your notes, it gets as hard to recall as the note itself.

Case in point, I’ve personally traveled to many trade events and many press conferences and made some great notes for quotes. By the end of the day when it’s time to go and write a story I can’t sort out the mess of notes to what session they went to, who was speaking or what the topic was. Meshin Recall tackles the task of assigning notes to calendar entries, and as both co-founders told me there is a lot more on the table as far as streamlining notes goes.

Meshin’s first app, the Meshin Beta, semantically categorizes your emails, messages, and texts into one nice viewing pane and sorts them by relevance based on sender, subject etc. This means you can easily and quickly skim the important messages without having to weed through other messages that aren’t necessarily spam but aren’t the utmost important messages of the day.  Meshin’s easy to navigate, and understand UI makes that process intuitive from the start.

Although they aren’t  saying what’s next for Meshin publicly, if they were to “mesh” both tools together your email, contacts, conversations, notes and meetings would flow together in one cohesive river. hmmmm.
